Part 2:  Building the Cabinet

 Some projects are simply more fun than others.  This secret knock gumball machine, designed by Steve Hoefer, was such a project for me.

Building the cabinet went easily.  

 Here is a pictorial synopsis:

The parts are cut from ¼” plywood and strips of ½” X ½” maple srtips.  The front is cut from plexiglass; note that there is a white coating that is later peeled off.

    

The parts are trial assembled into the cabinet.

  

The hopper is assembled and added under the top to hold the gumballs.
